Double-Surface (Davies) Condensers
Material : Schott Duran Germany and Iwaki Pyrex Japan
Borosilicate glass 3.3
Increased surface area and effectiveness compared with a corresponding Liebig condenser is due to hte inner cooling surface which gives a ‘baffling’ effect,and the outer cooling surface area which prevents ‘creep’ and loss of vapour when low boiling point liquids are involved.
