Spherical Joints
Material : Schot Duran Germany & Iwaki Pyrex Japan
Borosilicate glass 3.3
Spherical joints are intented to give flexibility to complicated assemblies of glassware. In vacuum systems, they relieve stress which may otherwise cause leakage at joints. They are also useful under conditions where conical joints may be difficult to separate, for instance, if a viscous or resinous material is being used inside the system.
