This still has the evaporator vessel enclosed in a combined steam jacket and trap; an arrangement which is compact and accelerates distillation. For ease of assembly and storage, it is fitted with a spherial ground glass joint between the distillation vessel and condenser. When the supply of stem to the distillation is cut off, the apparatus automatically sucks back, thus immediately preparing itself for the determination. This apparatus enables a large number of distillations to be carried out in rapid sucession. Manufactured with screwthread outlets and supplies with plastic safety connectors. The apparatus complies with British Standard 1428: Part B2.
